This is one of the newest hotels on Sentosa Island, having opened in June 2007. The resort's unique character derives from an exotic blend of colonial architecture and modern design concepts. It offers 91 deluxe rooms in total and is surrounded by gardens and a natural tropical rain forest which is home to monkeys, peacocks and parrots as well as other native fauna and flora. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby with 24-hour reception, currency exchange facility and lift access. Bar, dining, conference and parking facilities are also offered. Room and laundry services are available, though subject to fees. Internet access is also offered, and is also subject to fees. Special features of the resort include a kids' club and tree house, as well as a cooking school and an artists workshop.

The resort is nestled on a hillside of Sentosa Island, overlooking the South China Sea, surrounded by 3.5 hectares of gardens and natural tropical rainforest. It is a 3-minute walk from the white sands of Palawan Beach, a 5-minute walk from Dolphin Lagoon, while it is a 5 to 10-minute ride on the island bus from Sentosa Golf Club, the Sentosa Luge & Sky Ride, Images of Singapore Museum, and the Merlion. It is also a 5 to 10-minute drive to Harbour Front MRT Station, Vivo City, Singapore Cruise Centre and the Central Business District from the hotel. Orchard Road and Chinatown are a 15-minute drive away, with the Changi International Airport a 25 to 30-minute drive away.
